Biotin supplement for horses with soft, crumbling, cracked or eroded hooves.
It is essential to feed Biocare dailyfor three to five months at the correctlevel to obtain an improvement in hoof horn strength. After four to eight weeks of Biocare supplementation it is expected that a growth band of new 'defect free' hoof wall should develop below the coronet. Continue daily supplementation with Biocare until this new hoof wall has covered the entire hoof. In sever cases, daily supplementation may be required for nine to twelve months.
Dose rate:
Foals 150kgbodyweight: 7.5mg daily
Donkeys and ponies 300kg bodyweight: 7.5mg daily
Riding Horses 450kg bodyweight: 15mg daily
Heavy Draft Horses: 550kg and over: 22.5mg daily
The enclosed scoop holds 7.5mg.
